The Taguig City Police Station recently participated in the annual International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 25, at Lakeshore Hall, New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.
Furthermore, the Taguig City Police Station provided subject matter expert Police Corporal Jestonie Señoron, CAS PNCO, Drug Clearing PNCO, who discussed the salient features of R.A. 9165 series of 2022 and drug awareness.
The event was graced by the presence of the Taguig Police Chief together with Mayor Maria Laarni Cayetano, Councilor Yasser Pangandangan, Chairman on Peace and Order, Secretary Catalino Uy, Chairman of the Dangerous Drug Board, and an estimated crowd of 200 participants adorned the event.
It is crucial to educate and empower the community and youth about the dangers of drug abuse, promote prevention strategies, and foster a drug-free lifestyle to safeguard their well-being and contribute to a healthier society.
Moreover, the Taguig Police chief underscored the pivotal role of parents in guiding their children and stressed the significance of every branch of government in preventing and maintaining peace and order through collaborative efforts.
