Former President Rodrigo Duterte, Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte and Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte will seek all run for Senate seats next year.
Vice President Sara Duterte made the confirmation in an interview in Cagayan de Oro City.
“All of them are raring to run—PRRD, my brother Paolo, and Sebastian. Three Dutertes will be running next year. That’s confirmed,” the Vice President, in an interview reporters, said.
The Vice President, also announced that Baste Duterte will be running for president in the 2028 national and local elections. She said that her mother advised her to go back to Davao City to run again as mayor.
Asked if she will be resigning as Vice President following her resignation as Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd), Duterte, quoted by GMA News, said “there are no talks about that.”
“We are now focusing on the Office of the Vice President; we have 10 projects inside the Office of the Vice President,” the Vice President said
The Vice President will step down as Secretary of Education on July 19, exactly a month after she tendered and announced her resignation on Wednesday, reports said. With Rolando Ng III
