Liquor firm Emperador Inc. said Monday it earmarked P6.5 billion for 2024 capital expenditures to expand its whisky business overseas.
Emperador president Winston Co said during the company’s annual stockholders meeting the group would complete the expansion of Dalmore distillery in Scotland. The project will double the capacity of the distillery.
The company also started expanding the maturation complex in Invergordon, building more warehouses for whisky aging to house the additional liquid produced by the larger Dalmore distillery.
Co said the company remained on expansion mode despite challenges both in the domestic and international markets. “We have seen some challenges in North America, in China, but your company had stayed resilient. We will continue to performance hopefully better than last year,” Co said.
