The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) has tapped the transport sector for its annual celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), better known as the World Drug Day on June 26.
The DDB partnered with various transportation network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Quezon City government to host the “Riders Against Drugs” motorcade meant to drum up community involvement in the drive against drug abuse.
The motorcade will kick off at 5:30 am, June 26, from the PDEA-DDB Building along NIA Northside Road and proceed to the Philippine Public Safety College where TNVS drivers will gather for a series of training sessions.
This year’s theme, “The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Prevention,” stressed the need to adopt an imperative, scientific and evidence-based approach prioritizing prevention and treatment.
