He emphasized that the House of Representatives has already passed all the priority measures set forth by President Marcos, particularly those outlined in his second State of the Nation Address (SONA) and the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).

“Tomorrow, we will have a meeting, and of course, the priority legislative agenda will be discussed,” Romualdez told reporters on the sidelines of the 126th Independence Day celebration at Barasoain Church in Bulacan on Wednesday.

The Speaker said the cooperation between the House and the Senate is crucial for the successful implementation of the administration’s programs and reforms.

He noted that while the House has already accomplished significant legislative milestones, it is essential to ensure that both chambers are aligned in their objectives.

The legislature is currently in recess after adjourning the second regular session of the 19th Congress last May 22. It will resume for the third regular session on July 22, during which President Marcos will deliver his third SONA.
