Cavitex signs P1.79-b contract with EEI for CCLink project

The Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), has signed a P1.79-billion construction contract with EEI Corporation for the vital CAVITEX-CALAX Link (CCLink).

“This collaboration will provide the vital link connecting CAVITEX and CALAX road network. CIC is committed to ensuring the best road quality for its infrastructure, adhering to the highest standards for the safety of motorists,” Rogelio Singson, MPTC president and chief executive said.

“This project will enhance economic activities in Cavite, Laguna and the National Capital Region,” he added.

EEI Corp will construct the 1.2-kilometer, 2×2 lane CCLink (Segment 4 Extension), extending from the CAVITEX Kawit Toll Plaza to the upcoming CALAX Kawit Interchange. Construction of the link is targeted to commence next month and is set to be operational by mid-2025.

At present, operational segments of CAVITEX stretch 14 kilometers, from R1 Expressway (formerly Coastal Road) up to R1 Extension (Zapote to Kawit).

EEI Corp holds a quadruple-A rating as a General Engineering Contractor, the highest rating for contractors issued by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) under the Department of Trade and Industry. It offers a broad range of construction and engineering services, with expertise in infrastructure, buildings, and industrial and electromechanical facilities.
