Actress and singer Sharon Cuneta and former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan have filed cyberlibel charges against entertainment columnist-host Cristy Fermin.
In a post shared by GMA News showbiz reporter Nelson Canlas, Sharon and Kiko visited the Makati Prosecutors Office at 10:53 a.m. on May 10 to file their cyberlibel complaints against Cristy for allegedly making “malicious statements” against their family.
“Former Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan and his wife, actress Sharon Cuneta, filed cyberlibel charges before the Makati City Prosecutors Office against showbiz columnist and host Cristy Fermin for broadcasting baseless and malicious statements regarding their personal and family affairs,” the post read.
Accompanied by their legal counsel, the couple went to Prosecutor Dindo G. Venturanza’s office to file the charges against Cristy.
Sharon and Kiko are the latest celebrities to lodge complaints against Cristy, following Bea Alonzo who filed charges last week. The actress claimed to be the victim of “false, malicious, and damaging information.”
