PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Acceleration Center project in the Philippines is expected to generate at least 5,000 jobs for Filipinos, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The DTI said this is one of the significant projects pushed at the sidelines of the first Trilateral Economic Ministers Meeting on April 13, 2024 in Washington D.C. between the Philippines, the United States and Japan.
The PwC Global Acceleration Center will promote the Philippines as a prime destination for innovative business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.
It will focus on high-value business process management (BPM) in consulting spaces, including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and cybersecurity.
DTI Secretary Alfredo Pascual welcomed PwC’s plan during a meeting with PWC Philippines chairman and senior partner Roderick Danao and PwC managing partner and platform leader principal and acceleration centers leader Hari Kumar.
