Hyein, from K-pop group NewJeans, will take a temporary break from activities due to a foot injury sustained during practice, according to their agency ADOR.
A statement released on April 11 by ADOR revealed Hyein experienced foot pain and received a diagnosis of a microfracture after a hospital visit. Following doctor’s orders to minimize movement, she will prioritize recovery and rehabilitation.
“We regret to inform you that NewJeans member Hyein will be taking a break from activities due to a practice injury,” ADOR stated. “Hyein experienced pain in her foot and a subsequent hospital visit confirmed a microfracture. Medical professionals advised her to limit movement for optimal recovery.”
ADOR expressed their commitment to supporting Hyein’s full recovery.
This news comes ahead of NewJeans’ highly anticipated comeback with a double single release scheduled for May 24.
