The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Tuesday reported a magnitude 6.5 offshore earthquake 357 kilometers southeast of Sarangani’s Balut Island in Davao Occidental.
Intensity II (slightly felt) was recorded around 5:48 p.m. in Malungon and Glan in Sarangani, as well as Davao City.

Phivolcs, however, said no damage or aftershocks are expected.
