The City Government of Caloocan, represented by City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and entered into a partnership with Philippine Business Education (PBED) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to facilitate the implementation of YouthWorks PH in the city.
YouthWorks PH is an employability project under the co-administration of PBED and USAID, targeted towards the youth and other vulnerable sectors and aims to provide its beneficiaries with core employment skills as well as easier access to future job opportunities.
Mayor Along expressed his gratitude to the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), PBED, and USAID for their efforts to initiate the program in the city, and assured both his constituents and the project proponents of his administration’s continued support towards livelihood and employment projects
The local chief executive further emphasized that the MOU signing was only the start of the process as more holistic youth development programs are already underway for this year.
