Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte (center) led the swearing-in ceremony of officials of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) on March 21 at the Quezon City Hall.
The city mayor warmly welcomed the officials of SPEED led by president Salve Asis of Pang-Masa and PSN, vice president for External Affairs Jerry Olea of PEP, secretaries Gerardine Fe C. Trillana of Malaya Business Insight and Maricris Valdez of Hataw, treasurer Dondon Sermino of Abante, assistant treasurer Dinah Ventura of Daily Tribune, PROs Ervin Santiago of Bandera and Nickie Wang of Manila Standard, and auditor Rohn Romulo of People’s Balita.
Established in 2015, SPEEd is comprised of top editors in the entertainment industry from national broadsheets, tabloids, and online platforms. The group annually presents awards for film excellence, The Eddys, in recognition of the achievements of Filipino film workers.
