Singer Jennifer Lopez, otherwise known as J.Lo, has released a new pop track, “This Time Around” which features K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE.
The unexpected collaboration was revealed by the singer on her Instagram account through a carousel of photos which featured J.Lo in a series of poses while wearing a few black dresses. Shortly after, a photo of J.Lo posing with (G)I-DLE was posted on the girl group’s Instagram account.
With the official release of the new track, a short clip bearing a snippet of the song was shared on the group and the singer’s official social media accounts.
J.Lo recently released her ninth studio album, “This Is Me… Now” last February 16, which served as the sequel to her third studio album, “This Is Me… Then.” It is also her first album in ten years with the first single being “Can’t Get Enough,” which was released last Jan 10.
The singer is also set to embark on her fifth concert tour, “This Is Me… Now: The Tour” beginning on June 26.
(G)I-DLE comprises Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. They are known for their hit songs like “Tomboy,” “Nxde,” and “Queencard.” Their most recent studio album is “2” which was released last Jan 29. One of its members, Shuhua, has been on a temporary hiatus since February following health concerns.
