P-pop girl group 4th Impact came under fire for publicly requesting help to raise funds for a haven for their 200 Shih Tzu dogs, while also being seen attending Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in Singapore.
Negative reactions and comments flooded the appeal of the all-female group for “irresponsible pet ownership”.
Last week, Almira, one of the siblings, appealed on her Facebook account.
“We hope you can help our furbabies have their home so they can live together,” the post read.
It had an attached link linking to the oldest sister of the group of siblings, Elvira’s GoFundMe page aimed at assisting them in moving their numerous pooches to a new residence.
She mentioned that initially, they only had five pets given by their fans. They were unaware of the increasing number of dogs until it reached 200.
There should have been no problem, but they were reportedly complained about by neighbors due to the noise they made.
Therefore, they appeal to fellow fur parents to help them raise funds for their planned “safe and expansive farm” for their pets.
However, netizens found it “ridiculous” after the girl group posted a photo of them attending the Singapore leg of Taylor’s “Eras Tour” but couldn’t provide a “haven” for their dogs.
“This group is asking for $100K when they also just watched the Eras tour. While local shelters can do wonders with that sum already!” one tweeted.
“And they have the audacity to ask for $100k, to think this group goes on tours across the US,” another one commented.
“While shelters, rescuers, and advocates are doing their best with spay and neuter efforts, ito naman sila. Hay,” a netizen wrote.
Meanwhile, 4th Impact has not issued a response, reaction, or statement regarding the issue.
The group rose to fame after participating in the twelfth season of “The X Factor UK” in 2015, where they finished as one of the Top 5 finalists.
