Singer Jisoo from global KPOP sensation Blackpink has launched her solo agency, “BLISSOO.”
In an Instagram post, Jisoo shared a photo of herself along with a statement about the agency’s launch.
“I’m excited to share my start with BLISSOO. Stay tuned for what’s to come, as I’m dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to each and every one of you,” her statement read.
Jisoo further urged fans to continue supporting her endeavors as well as Blackpink’s.
According to the label, its mission revolves around sharing Jisoo’s work in various genres and fields. Its official website currently features Jisoo’s accolades along with her roles in television shows and films.
Following Blackpink’s contract renewal with YG Entertainment for group activities last December 2023, Jisoo is the third member to launch her own agency to handle her solo activities. The first Blackpink member to do so was Jennie with ODD ATELIER (OA), followed by Lisa with LLOUD.
Blackpink rose to global fame with their hit songs such as “Boombayah,” “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” “Kill This Love,” and “How You Like That.” They had also broken several records such as having the highest-grossing concert tour by a female group for their “Born Pink World Tour” and the most-viewed music artist channel on YouTube.
In 2023, Jisoo released her solo album, “Me,” where its lead single, “Flower” peaked at number two on the Billboard Global 200.
Apart from her music career, Jisoo has also made television appearances with cameo roles in dramas such as “The Producers,” “Part-Time Idol,” and “Arthdal Chronicles.” The idol played her first starring role alongside actor Jung Hae-In in “Snowdrop.”
Jisoo has been cast as the lead role in the upcoming television series, “Influenza.” She is also set to star in her first leading movie role in the film adaption of “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” alongside actor Lee Min-ho.
