In Xian Lim’s first public appearance at the press conference for Love. Die. Repeat, around two weeks after his breakup with longtime girlfriend Kim Chiu, the 34-year-old actor was asked if he was okay.
“Dapat naman talaga okay [ka]. You should be okay,” was his brief response.
Asked about the state of his “heart,” Xian mentioned that he is “keeping busy, doing different things, and working on various projects.”
Still reeling from his December split, the Kapuso actor addressed questions from the press about his personal life, asking if the show’s title resonated with his own experiences.
“I think in life, everything happens for a reason. That’s it. If love can be rekindled or not, everything will happen for a reason,” explained Xian.
Xian and Kim shocked the online world when the two confirmed the split rumors two days before Christmas.
“Everything happens for a reason. So, we have to move forward, whatever it may be. It should be okay. We just got to work. We just need to keep on working. That’s what we want, work on yourself and just keep on doing different things, doing different projects, keeping busy,” he added.
Meanwhile, Xian’s leading lady in Love. Die. Repeat, Jennylyn Mercado, answered the same question stating that she and her husband Dennis Trillo are a prime example of a successful second-chance romance.
“Dennis and I, right? That’s it. Didn’t we repeat? Love still wins,” quipped Jennylyn.
Xian and Jennylyn banner GMA’s latest offering, Love. Die. Repeat as Bernard and Angela, respectively. The new television series tells the story of Angela, who lost her husband, Bernard, in a car accident. Soon, she realizes that she is stuck in a time loop and is forced to relive the worst day of her life—the day her husband died.
Joining Xian and Jennylyn are Mike Tan, Valeen Montenegro, Ina Feleo, Valerie Concepcion, Ervic Vijandre, Faye Lorenzo, Victor Anastacio, Nonie Buencamino, Samantha Lopez, Shyr Valdez, and Malou De Guzman.
Love. Die. Repeat premiered yesterday on GMA-7.
