The much-anticipated television series collaboration between Marian Rivera and Gabby Concepcion, initially planned over three years ago, faced a significant setback during the peak of the pandemic.
Marian had to withdraw from the project due to stringent shooting protocols that required the cast to be in lockdown for taping.
Now, they mark a fresh start with a family-themed show with a sci-fi twist titled My Guardian Alien. In the series, Marian plays an extraterrestrial who joins a loving Earth family, blending heartwarming moments with space-age intrigue. The carefully crafted storyline explores an alien’s journey adapting to human relationships, raising high expectations for an engaging experience with their pairing.
Joining Marian and Gabby is child actor Raphael Landicho, adding another layer of excitement to this project.
There’s a high chance that viewers will see Marian almost every day on television with another project.
Fresh from their massively successful Metro Manila Film Festival movie Rewind, Marian reunites on the small screen with her husband Dingdong Dantes in Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa 2.0, the sequel to their hit sitcom that aired on weekends.
