Clark International Speedway was filled with the roar of engines and the cheers of excited fans as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially crowned the champions of this year’s TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Vios Cup.
The final leg of the highly anticipated racing series showcased the pinnacle of motorsports excitement and introduced the TGR Vios Cup Grand Prix.
Racers seized their last opportunity to ignite their adrenaline and captivate the spectators. Among the seasoned TGR racers were Troy Montero and Enzo Pineda, who competed in the Circuit Championship, alongside celebrity newcomer Ryan Agoncillo. Beauty queens Carla Lizardo and Megan Young, as well as crowd favorites Macoy Dubs, Benedict Cua, Bianca Yao, and Lexi Mendiola, also returned to the track for the Autocross Challenge.
Competing across the Promotional, Sporting, and Super Sporting classes in the Circuit Championship, the racers delivered an exhilarating show. Paolo Ayo (Race 7) and Alain Alzona (Race 8) dominated the Promotional class, while Bern Corpino (Race 7) and Mikey Keilani Jordan (Race 8) emerged as winners in the Sporting class. John Dizon showcased his exceptional racing skills by securing the top spot in the Super Sporting class for both races 7 and 8. These champions had consistently displayed their remarkable racing prowess throughout the Vios Cup 2023 season, and in the finals, they proved themselves as even more formidable competitors.
The Grand Prix for Circuit Championship introduced a new format, but the racers rose to the occasion and created electrifying moments on the track. Alain Alzona, Darrell Garbes, and Royce Sarmiento emerged as victors in the Promotional, Sporting, and Super Sporting classes, respectively, further establishing their prowess in the speedway. The participants brought the same energy and intensity that fans loved from the previous legs, elevating the racing battles with their passion and professionalism.
The sight of all OMR cars on the same grid, battling for supremacy, was a treat for both motorsports enthusiasts and Vios Cup fans. The pit stop action added to the excitement, gripping the audience and intensifying the experience from the tracks to the grandstand.
In the Autocross Challenge, racers such as Apple David, Arianne Bautista, Migy Romulo, Reph Bangsil, Genesis Redido, and Ezra Domingo captivated the crowd as they competed for top positions. At the end of the heart-stopping race, Patricia Tenorio, Ezra Domingo, John Rey San Diego, and Carla Lizardo emerged as champions in the Promotional Media and Influencer Classes and Sporting Media and Influencer Classes, respectively.
