The Bacoor City Strikers secured their first home court victory in a stunning comeback against the resilient Negros Blue Hawks.
Hosting MPVA matches for the third time, the Bacoor City Strikers finally rewarded their home crowd with a thrilling win over the Negros Blue Hawks in five sets, with scores of 17-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-20, and 16-14.
After losing the first two sets to the Negros Blue Hawks, the Bacoor City Strikers capitalized on their opponents’ weaknesses to claim the next three sets, ultimately earning their first home victory at the Bacoor Strike Gymnasium.
Reigning NCAA MVP Mary Rhose Dapol led her team with 18 points, supported by Charmaine Ocado, who made a significant impact with 18 points while filling in for the absence of the ace spiker, Shaila Omipon.
On the other side, Angel Habacon and Gelah Lopez were the standout performers for the Negros Blue Hawks, contributing 21 and 11 points, respectively.
Next, the City Strikers will face Biñan Tatak Gel on November 5 at the Bacoor Strike Gymnasium in their quest for a second victory.
