Batangas Vice Gov. Mark Leviste earlier offered P100,000 for information on the missing Camilon a resident of Tuy, Batangas.

The police officer tagged as a person of interest in the disappearance of Camilon, who was last seen in Lemery, Batangas, has remained mum.

PRO 4A public information office chief Lt. Col. Chitadel Gaoiran said the cop is still under police custody.

“He is not saying much. He did not admit nor deny anything about the disappearance of Catherine,” Gaoiran said.

Camilon represented Tuy, Batangas in the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant.

Because the person of interest is a personnel of the local police, Lucas said the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) unit in the region.

The CIDG 4-A will investigate the case while the Regional Internal Affairs 4-A will conduct a separate administrative investigation.

The police officer, whose identity was not yet revealed, was allegedly in a romantic relationship with Camilon.

Lucas said it was also the police officer who gave Camilon the vehicle she used when she was last seen in Lemery.

He said police investigators remain optimistic that Camilon is still alive.

On Oct. 16, Camilon’s sister, Chin-chin, took to social media to ask for help from netizens to locate her sister.
