Alagang Tingog opens 4 centers

Alagang Tingog Centers initiated by Tingog party-list group and the Office of the Speaker have opened in parts of the Visayas region this week.

On August 10, the ATC was launched in Sagay City, Negros Occidental followed by a payout event with the support of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The payout ceremony benefited 1,000 individuals from diverse sectors such as youth, senior citizens, LGBTQ+ community, and single mothers, each receiving P5,000.

The party-list group also inaugurated its second ATC in Negros Occidental, located in Cadiz City. A third center was opened in Manapla in the same province.

Tingog also unveiled its first Alagang Tingog Center (ATC) in Ubay, the dairy capital of Bohol, on August 11.

This collaborative effort involved the Office of Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, Tingog Party-list Reps. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez and Jude A. Acidre, and the Office of the Presidential Assistance in Visayas, highlighting the commitment to accessible and inclusive services. Maricel Cruz The inauguration and payout was attended among others by Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo Marañon III, Sagay City Mayor Narciso Javelosa Jr., Vice Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva; among others.

Highlighting the ATC as a comprehensive resource hub for government services catering to disenfranchised citizens, Rep. Yedda Romualdez noted, “Ang Tingog Centers, kasama kayo lagi”. She encouraged citizens with a confident affirmation, “Hindi kayo magsisisi na binoto niyo ang Tingog Party-list.” Rep. Yedda Romualdez thanked the people involved led by Marañon to make the ATCs launching possible.

She said that Tingog Partylist is not just a political entity, but a working party-list, and that the goal of the group is “to serve the community diligently.” In the local tongue, she conveyed, “Musilbi kami sa inyo” (We will serve you.) The sentiment underscores their dedication to being a steadfast presence for the residents of Manapla.

Rep. Yedda Romualdez also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, further encouraging everyone to spread the word to friends and family that the Alagang Tingog Center is now operational, ready to provide assistance and support.

Rep. Yedda emphasized that the establishment of ATC in Ubay does not only “serve” the municipality, but the whole 2nd District is lucky for having the presence of Tingog Partylist in the area.

For his part, Acidre commended the creation of ATC in the municipality. “Finally, Tingog will be heard now in Ubay.” Acidre stated that “Tingog” will not be heard without “Speaker (Romudez),” indicating the importance of the Office of the House Speaker in the realization of their advocacies for the country.
