With help from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., the Philippine Air Force, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Health, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Pandi Bulacan, PCUP was able to give health kits, food packs, and assistive devices to the PWD sector.

“We understand that successfully eradicating poverty means supporting other sectors. Poverty is considered cross-sectoral,” PCUP chair Elpidio Jordan Jr. said.

The PWD sector is more likely to be impacted by the inequities of the healthcare system which is why it is imperative to give additional support to sustain their medical needs, the official further said.

The beneficiaries were also able to attend a seminar on the laws related to their rights, as well as the government services that they could avail of through the PCUP’s partner agencies.
