ADDING greater significance to the 6th anniversary of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), the group organized an outreach initiative on Friday, July 7.
Spearheaded by Eugene Asis (President of SPEEd and from People’s Journal), the organization, along with other officials and members, paid a visit to two charitable institutions in Bulacan, where they made generous donations.
SPEEd first visited the Bethany House Sto. Niño Orphanage in Guiguinto, which takes care of and provides protection to children who have no family or relatives.
Bethany House Sto. Niño Orphanage has 30 children under its care. Bethany’s directress Sr. Emelita Cruz OP is assisted by Sr. Emerlita Luna OP and their fellow Dominican sisters of Saint Joseph.
SPEEd also went to Emmaus House of Apostolate located in Malolos, Bulacan, where 60 abandoned men and women reside.
In addition to financial assistance, the group provided food and medical supplies, cleaning materials, vitamins, adult diapers, and other items that can be used for daily needs.
The partners of the SPEEd Outreach 2023 are Rei Anicoche-Tan of Beautederm and BlancPro, Cris Roque of Kamiseta, Unilab Corporation, and Pascual Laboratories.
The group also extends its gratitude to showbiz columnist and talent manager Lolis Solis, Hon. Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando, San Miguel Corporation, Jollibee, Universal Robina Corporation, Mark Parlade and Rosbel Buñag of Stratworks, Dee Chanco of Maris Pure Water, actress Lotlot de Leon, Susan Joven, Wilson Flores of Kamuning Bakery, Edd Fuentes, Lamoiyan Corporation, and Colorete Clothing.
