Will Pauline Amelinckx snatch PH’s second Miss Supranational title?

With a stunning face and killer body, Pauline Amelinckx is in her best fighting form which augurs well on her goal to win the country’s second Miss Supranational title.

The 27-year-old Filipino-Belgian from Tubigon, Bohol, is poised to give the 60-plus contestants a run for their money in her quest to bring back the crown last held by Mutya Datul in 2013.

Amelinckx, who spent her pre-teen years in her father Paul’s hometown in Antwerp, Belgium, before moving to the Philippines, has gained initial momentum in her quest for the title after topping Group 10 and advancing to the top 10 semi-final round of the Suprachat Challenge.

A graduate of International Studies at the Doctor’s University in Cebu in 2017, and worked as a sales consultant, the articulate Amelinckx got to impress with her intellect and wisdom, besting the delegates from Hongkong, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Ukraine, the USA, and Zimbabwe.

Amelinckx, an islander living close to the ocean, is a marine conservation advocate and gives support to the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, an organization that helps provide boats to transport children from their homes in coastal areas to school.

Mutya Queen brings home Miss Environment International 2023 crown

For the stunning and sexy Shannon Robinson, winning recently as Miss Environment International 2023 in Mumbai, India is a life-defining moment.

Last year, Robinson, at 28, took a final shot for a beauty title and joined the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant. She fell short, finishing as Mutya ng Luzon or first runner up, duplicating her mother, Raquel Mababangloob’s placement in the 1989 edition.

But a window of opportunity opened for Robinson when she was chosen by Cory Quirino, president of Mutya organization, to represent the country in the India-based pageant, following the awarding of the national franchise to MNP.

“I channeled the power of our country and its environment, all its wrath, all its beauty, and all its resilience for the finals of the competition. I have given everything to be deserving of the main title,” said Robinson who also bagged the Miss Congeniality special award.

Describing herself on Instagram as someone who is warm, fun(ny), sweet and snarky, the actor and model, who was born to a Filipina mother and Irish father, is just being true to and confident in herself.

“I won my dream award, Miss Congeniality (Miss Active). To be awarded or recognized for my kindness is just an affirmation that I am becoming the woman I strive to be in life and that I can be proud of the way I’ve presented myself, being kind should always be at the forefront,” Robinson enthused.

When Robinson was asked during the pageant’s final round, “Where would you want to live if given the chance, village or city?”, she answered, “Right now, the city, so I would have access to leaders, younger generation. Villages is something that I always go home to visit. My family personally comes from a small village, but change has to happen from the top, so I have to get to the top to make it.”

While Robinson chose to present as her platform in the pageant, the protection of the Philippine Ocean, she is also an advocate for the welfare of rescue dogs and cats, as well as in supporting the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. “This community has so much history and has contributed so much to culture and society, and the fact that they can’t have equal rights is something that I have a hard time accepting,” she said.
