President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday dared the Filipino youth to enrich their knowledge and continue serving the communities, saying he sees in them the fine attributes of future leaders of the country.
In a video message marking Filipino Youth Day posted on his Facebook page, the President said he firmly believes that the youth is the hope of the nation, similar to what Filipino ancestors had foreseen.
“Just like our ancestors, I certainly believe that our youth is the hope and future of our nation.” Marcos said.
“I challenge the youth to do good in your education, serve communities, and continue to help those in need.” he added.
The Chief Executive also expressed confidence that today’s youth will be the country’s next leaders given their idealism and strength.
“I encourage you to improve your knowledge and talents because in the future, we are hoping that you will join us in establishing a more prosperous Philippines.” Marcos said.
He also vowed that his administration would support measures that will enrich the welfare of the youth to help them attain their goals.
“Know that we will support ways of enhancing your welfare and those that will help you fulfill your dreams.” the President said.
