President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said he asked the First Lady to marry him again on the occasion of the couple’s 30th anniversary.
President Marcos and First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos recently celebrated their 30th year as a couple, as shown in photos shared on Mr. Marcos’ official Twitter account on Tuesday.
The photos showed the President proposing to the First Lady, according to a GMA News report.
The report also said Mr. Marcos also penned a letter saying, “Make all my dreams come true! Marry me again! Happy anniversary!”
Mr. Marcos mentioned that his wife said “yes” to his proposal.
In his tweet, the President said he cherished his wife, saying “there is still no place I’d rather be and no person I’d rather be with. Liza, you will always be the girl of my dreams.”
The President said they celebrated their anniversary with family and close friends, many of whom were present during their wedding in 1993.
The First Couple has three sons, Ferdinand Alexander, who now serves as Ilocos Norte representative, Joseph Simon, and William Vincent.
