No price surges during transport strike, Angkas assures passengers

George Royeca, co-Founder and CEO of Pinoy firm Angkas, assured the riding public Sunday night that operations of its motorcycle taxis will continue unhampered and will be available for commuters amid the reported weeklong transport strike by jeepney drivers and operators.

Royeca assured Filipino commuters there will be no price surges and no extra fees during the strike, and called on commuters to report any erring Angkas rider who will demand an extra fare.

He also reminded passengers to book rides earlier than usual to avoid inconveniences.

“Staying true to our core of providing safe alternative transport to our riding public, we would like to assure our commuters that will do our best to augment any transportation gaps that may be brought about by the impending transport strike,” said Royeca in a statement.

“You can be assured your Angkas fleet and the whole team will do everything we can to get you to your destinations,” the Angkas chief said.
