Mayor Lazatin instructed the Gender and Development Office (GAD) and the City Health Office (CHO) to bring the service to the 33 villages
of Angeles City using three buses and two vans which are to be utilized as mobile clinics.

“Patuloy ang pangako ko sa inyo na ang serbisyong medikal sa ilalim ng aking administrasyon ay literal na dadalhin ko sa inyong mga pintuan,” Lazatin ensures.

According to Angeles City GAD officer Mina Cabiles, the free pap smear will serve as the highlight program to observe this year’s National Women’s month celebration.

“This free pap smear activity is only the first of the various Women’s Month celebration programs that Angeles City will deliver for the benefit and welfare of the Angeleñas,” Cabiles said.

The city government is committed to undertake 1,650 pap smears throughout the campaign.

Pap smear is a medical test conducted to detect cervical cancer.

Lazatin said that just like his father, Cong. Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, grandfather Apung Feleng, and brother, First District Congressman Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, health is the cornerstone of his administration.
