AirAsia Philippines said Monday it expects the full restoration of its international destinations by the end of the first quarter this year.
The budget airline said most of its international destinations would be reinstated this quarter with the reopening of flights to Macau, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, on top of the now active Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul routes.
“Our international recovery is almost complete with the relaunching of the remaining China routes next month. It is also the perfect time to welcome spring in the most preferred tourist destinations among Filipinos such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan,” AirAsia Philippines head of communications and public affairs Steve Dailisan.
“We can’t wait to safely fly our guests from all over East Asia and couple their trips with best-value deals,” he said.
AirAsia Philippines is also piggybacking on the high inbound and outbound traffic at the Cebu-Mactan International Airport which registered more than 500,000 international passenger traffic in 2022.
Now servicing flights to Seoul, leisure travelers can also fly four times week from MCIA to the city of Taipei, Taiwan beginning March 2, 2023.
To make international travel more attainable, AirAsia is offering promotional one-way base fares from as low as P922 from Manila to Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Seoul, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao, for bookings beginning Feb. 20 until Feb. 26 and for travel until Aug. 31, 2023.
