Despite the fact that she and Diego Loyzaga have already called it quits, Barbie Imperial says she still wishes her former lover good. She even thinks of his happiness and welfare.
In a recent interview, Barbie said that she’s happy that Diego has reconnected with his dad Cesar Montano.
“That’s what he truly wants. Everyone knows that for quite some time, their relationship as father and son got strained. It was something like seven years until they were able to bury the hatchet in March last year. I’m glad that finally, they’re fine,” she avers.
The 23-year-old actress reveals that they already had closure after their split. It was even reported that they saw each other again.
“We had closure. Our breakup is no longer an issue for me. It’s been a year already. We both moved on and are presently happy with our respective lives.”
Barbie notes that she learned there’s nothing wrong with being single.
“I will admit that I’ve cried a lot last year. But that’s water under the bridge already. I realized that it’s okay to be alone. Before, I was so afraid to be alone. I became dependent on people when it comes to my happiness. Then I challenged myself to fix things by myself. Fortunately, in the long run, I got used to dealing with things generally by myself. I made sure that I can manage even if I’m alone. It resulted in my being independent which is definitely a positive development.”
According to the Kapamilya actress, facing her issue with her father has helped her in keeping a positive disposition. Actually, she grew up in a broken family and she only met her biological dad when she joined ABS-CBN’s popular reality show Pinoy Big Brother: 737 in 2015. This was the source of her emotional wounds.
“My issue with my dad was very deep before. Because of that, many of my relationships were affected. I did everything to heal my inner child. I told myself that it’s okay if my dad isn’t around. That everything has its reasons. I taught myself how to be okay with that. I read self-help books which proved to be beneficial in my situation,” ends Barbie.

In her recent Instagram post, Sharon Cuneta called Julia Montes as her beloved and most favorite daughter in the ‘biz. It can be remembered that they became close when they worked together in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
According to the Megastar, their friendship remains solid even after the top-rating show wrapped up. Almost every day, they send each other text messages. Sharon revealed that Julia is sweet, kind, and has a beautiful heart. She doesn’t forget to greet and ask how Mega is doing.
The veteran actress-singer also said that Julia is very down-to-earth. On her birthday last January 6, Sharon revealed that Julia called her up and greeted her. Recently, the young actress also sent her food like her favorite Lengua and Lechon.
Sharon believes that Julia is heaven-sent, saying that she is one of God’s best gifts to her in 2022. For this, she’s forever grateful to Him. She even thanks Julia for the happiness she brought into her life.
