Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is leaving no stone unturned from the get-go as she begins her quest to bring the most desirable crown back to the Philippines for the fifth time.
The 24-year-old Filipino-Italian looked every bit of the goddess of beauty, arguably the Face of Miss Universe 2022, when she met with the press during her sendoff tendered to her by the Miss Universe Philippines Organization on the eve of her flight to the USA.
Cortesi will head to the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, the site of the famous Mardi Gras, where the concentration of the candidates and preliminary activities are scheduled to start on December 21.
Since Cortesi’s crowning in April, she has focused on rigorous training that included intensive workouts, walking, fittings, and others.
Cortesi, who said she has constant communication with some of the Miss Universe 2022 contestants on Whatsapp and Instagram, including Miss Venezuela, Miss Italy, and Miss Spain, will have a highly anticipated faceoff with Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel, who is Filipino-American, and a force to reckon with in the competition.
“But for sure, I’m gonna do my best to represent the country and to bring home the crown,” Cortesi promised.
