Singer and TV host Billy Crawford is so elated with the fact that he can work on the country’s three leading TV networks namely GMA-7, ABS-CBN, and TV 5. Apart from being one of the main hosts of TV 5’s noontime offering Tropang LOL, which is also simulcast on various Kapamilya platforms like A2Z Channel and Kapamilya Online, he was also tapped to host The Wall Philippines, which just started airing on GMA.
“I can’t be more thankful for it. Imagine, television buffs can now watch me daily. It’s such an amazing feeling,” he avers.
Billy can’t complain about the packed workload he has right now. He swears that he won’t stop working since he loves this job.
“This brings food to the table. Wherever work takes me, that’s where I’m going,” he carries on.
Billy had been with ABS-CBN for twelve years where he honed his hosting skills. He admits he was also worried when he left its stable.
“You see, when you’re comfortable and confident in life that you’ll not commit a misstep or blunder, then you’re perfect. But based on my perspective, no one is perfect. So, feeling worried is just normal. There’s that feeling of uncertainty. We can’t be sure where the road will take us. There were decisions that needed to be made considering that in the first place, I didn’t step on anyone’s toes,” he clarifies.
“I had no contracts with any networks at the time of the pandemic. So, I was open to the idea of working with anyone and everyone. Looking back, I believe that everything was orchestrated by God,” he adds.
On his return to GMA after a long period of time, Billy says that it’s a “surprising feeling.”
“Oh, yes! It’s public knowledge that I started with them when I was four years old. I was part of
“Before, we were able to just work, learn, enjoy and create content through audience feel. This time around, I was given the opportunity after more than 30 years to come back to where I really started. Kylie Padilla reveals that at first, she felt guilty upon accepting the project Bolera, her comeback showbiz project on GMA.
“I felt I might not be able to successfully play the role of a single working mother. There’s guilt especially when you think that you’re not present as a mom because you chose to work over taking care of your children,” she admits.
“But as a mom, I see the rewards as they come. Of course, I can provide for their needs and give them a stable future if I work. There’s real sacrifice. I’m happy that now, I know better,” Kylie goes on.
The sultry actress is proud of what she has achieved because of her decision to pursue work. She considers it a learning experience, especially as a single mom.
“It’s a blessing to be able to work because not all mothers can do that. Now I know why I’m doing it. Like now, I dream of buying a house for my children. I see the bigger picture now,” she says.
