TUGUEGARAO CITY — Twenty Miss Tuguegarao City 2022 bets, strutting their wit and beauty, showed their worth to possibly cop the Darling of the Press award in a press briefing at the SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown on August 8 late afternoon.
Dr. James Guzman, beauty pageant chairperson and incumbent city health officer, said the pageant posed a challenge due to the continuing COVID-19 protocols.
“After two years of hiatus, this is a time to bring the beauties back but we are still adhering to minimum health protocols,” he said.
Answering queries from the media, the candidates said Tuguegarao women exude positivity, unity, and credibility and serve as inspiration to others. Others said local women should show confidence, empowerment, and self-confidence.
The bets also shared their views on COVID-19 pandemic, fake news, environmental protection, sexual harassment, rules and regulations and cases where they violated, early marriage, teenage pregnancy, illegal drugs, and other concerns.
The winner of the Darling of the Press award will be awarded during the pre-pageant on August 12, one of the highlights of the grand coronation on August 13.
