The Villar SIPAG Awards will award winners in its Villar SIPAG Awards-Youth Poverty Reduction Challenges with P150,000 and trophies.
A special awardee will also get a trophy and P50,000 cash.
The awarding ceremony will be held on August 5, 2022, at the Villar SIPAG Center sa Las Piñas City.
The challenge, which is in its fifth year now, is a way of the founders of Villar SIPAG, former Senate President Manny Villar, and Senator Cynthia Villar to support youth empowerment.
The Villars want more youth to participate in nation-building.
The senator said the annual search for “empowered youth organizations” who worked hard to alleviate poverty in their community through their advocacies. The winners for this year are the following:
From the NCR: Gloria Compound Youth Organization, Pilar, Las Piñas City; Tondo Youth Pataas Community Care, Inc.; Simeona F. Chanyungco Lahing Kayumanggi Mananayaw Ng Marikina Inc., Marikina City.
From Luzon: San Carlos City Federation Of 4-H Club San Carlos City, Pangasinan;Jci Dagupan Bangus, Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Mga Tala At Tula Community, Candaba, Pampanga; Katoto Project, Paete, Laguna.
From Visayas: Youth Proyekto Philippines Inc., Iloilo City; and from Mindanao: Mushroom City, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon And Butwa’an Arts Centre/Butwa’an Dance Ensemble, Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.
A Special award will be conferred to CANTOR’S LEAGUE from E. Aldana, Las Piñas City in recognition of their “youthful passion” and dedication to music.
