She may have taken a long way before taking on the Pinay superhero’s mantle, but there’s only one word to describe her casting: deserved.

She also seemed genuine in her apology, which she posted online, and understood where her critics’ perspective. Seldom do netizens see an influencer who’s quick to admit to their mistakes and be open-minded, but hopefully, it was just “an honest mistake,” as Donnalyn said.

Nobody wants to mess with protective moms and their kids, especially mother-daughter tandem Annabelle Rama and Ruffa Gutierrez. Annabelle posted a cryptic tweet, possibly meant for Congresswoman Rowena Guanzon, telling them to stop spreading rumors about her daughter. It’s sweet to see Annabelle protecting her children despite their age, but maybe it’s time to let Ruffa handle this alone. Silence is also an option, just saying.

She proved to everyone, especially naysayers, that she could be part of the Bb. Pilipinas competition. So far, Herlene, a.k.a Hipon Girl, wowed everyone with her performance and photoshoots, except her latest one, where she’s sporting an afro. There’s an ongoing debate about whether it’s cultural appropriation or acceptable, and Herlene has yet to comment on the situation. The jury’s still out, but maybe it’ll do Herlene good to stick to fashion trends unrelated to specific cultures except hers.
