Taguig announces winners of COVID vax e-raffle

The Taguig City government has announced the winners of its online raffle for those who participated in the National Vaccination Days held in December last year.

A total of 30 vaccinated Taguigeños claimed their P1,000 worth of Sodexo Gift Certificates at the City Health Office (CHO) last Thursday.

The gift certificates may be used for shopping and purchasing products in partner stores. The e-raffle was spearheaded by the CHO led by Dr. Norena Osano together with National Immunization Program Coordinator Dr. Jennifer Lou De Guzman.

The local government invited residents and transient workers in Taguig to join the National Vaccination Days last December 15, 16, and 17 in all vaccination sites in the city whether it’s their 1st, 2nd, or booster shot to get a chance to win the prize.

The raffle was initiated by Mayor Lino Edgardo Cayetano to convince his constituents to get vaccinated and protect them against the deadly disease.

Taguig City vows to remain aggressive in its vaccination efforts to encourage more citizens to get protected against COVID-19 despite its low COVID-19 cases at the moment.

As of May 26, the city government already vaccinated 895,272 individuals or 101% of the total population.

Of this number, 850,520 individuals or 96 percent of the city’s total population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

A total of 2,000,501 jabs have been administered across Taguig’s vaccination hubs.

Meanwhile, with the recent outbreak of Monkeypox disease in non-endemic countries, Mayor Cayetano encouraged Taguig residents to take extra precautions.

“Even there is no confirmed case in the Philippines, Taguig advised the public to stay safe and to keep vigilant,” he said.

The local government continues programs that will cater the needs of residents and workers, one of which is the Taguig Love Caravan. It offers free medical, dental, and wellness mission.

Taguigeños can also avail free check-up, tooth extraction, haircut, and livelihood programs.
