Anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have seized more than P149 million worth of shabu from three suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Valenzuela City and Pampanga on Sunday.
Brig. Gen. Randy Peralta, chief of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), identified the suspects as Joseph Villamor Malasaga, 50; Algie Mingote Nabenia, 43; and Nolan Sarlego Julia, 38, who were arrested on Maysan Road corner Cecilio J. Santos St. in Valenzuela City.
A composite team of police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), operatives recovered 12 kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P81.6 million, marked money used in the buy-bust operation, a Honda Civic car with plate number UFY 330, assorted identification cards and documents and two mobile phones.
The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, while the seized pieces of evidence were brought to PDEG in Camp Crame for documentation.
In another operation, authorities seized P68 million worth of shabu from Brenelyn Riños Urgel, while his two unidentified companions managed to escape, during a raid at Mt. View Subdivision, Barangay Balibago, Angeles City on Sunday afternoon.
Seized were 10 kilograms of shabu worth P68 million, marked money, black Toyota Corolla Altis with plate number ZBF 850, assorted drug paraphernalia, and documents.
In another raid, police nabbed a suspected drug pusher and confiscated P55 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City, early Monday morning.
Caloocan Police chief Col. Samuel Mina Jr., identified the arrested suspect as Tantawi Salic, 35, of Phase 12, Riverside Brgy. 188 of the city.
Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives led by PLt. Gilmer Marinas, together with the 6th MFC RMFB-NCRPO conducted the buy bust operation along Riverside Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala.
