The Christian-Muslim Democratic Coalition (CMDC) reaffirmed its commitment to support and campaign for former Senator Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos, Jr. as President and Mayor Inday Sara Duterte for Vice President in an Interfaith Assembly held at the International House of Prayer, Amvel Business Park, Paranaque City.
The CMDC was launched earlier to support BBM-SARA Uniteam by El Shaddai Servant Leader Bro Mike Velarde, Prof Punduma Sani, vice chair for Military Affairs 0of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), Former Makati Vice Mayor Bobby Brillante, chair of People’s National Council for Federalism, National Interfaith Council of the Philippines (NICOPHIL) chairperson Bishop Ruben Lambojon and Mailed Molina, chairperson of the Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army (CPLA).
“Our ultimate objective is to provide people support to the new Marcos-Duterte administration to ensure smooth transition of power, help institute the change promised during the campaign, pursue charter change to Federalism to empower local government units, and provide equal opportunity in government service and in business to afford economic justice for all Filipinos,” Brillante, who is the CMDC spokesperson, said.
Brillante also said “we support Marcos, Jr. as he is the only presidential candidate who embraced our struggle for Federalism and he proved that by running as official candidate of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).”
“As for Mayor Inday Sara Dutere, we chose to support her not only of her proven strong leadership, capability to govern with honesty and integrity but also of her vision to provide equal opportunity for all,” Brillante said.
He said Inday Sara “stands for freedom, justice, and economic democracy. That is what we need in this country.”
