With less than two months before the May 9 elections, presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. remains strong as he leads in yet another
pre-election poll, this time conducted by DZRH, one of the leading and widest-reaching radio stations in the country.
Meanwhile, Marcos Jr.’s running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, on Sunday led another productive swing through Bulacan after she secured the support of several local mayors here.
The tandem later took the stage together at a sortie in Barangay Potrero, Malabon City, where they were joined by their senatorial slate and surrounded by thousands of supporters.
The latest DZRH “Desisyon 2022” survey conducted on March 12 showed Marcos got 49.8% of the votes from 7,566 respondents. This lead reflects Pulse Asia’s recently released results where “BBM” solidified his lead by posting a 60% voter preference.
Far behind Marcos in the latest DZRH survey are Vice President Leni Robredo with 21.4%, Manila Mayor Isko Domagoso with 9.8%, Senator Manny Pacquiao with 8.0%, and Senator Ping Lacson with 4.7%. The undecided was recorded at 3.9%.
Marcos also attended DZRH’s “Bakit Ikaw? Presidential Job Interview,” where he was praised for his intellectual and in-depth answers on how he will handle the government under the UniTeam leadership.
Instead of attending televised forums, the Marcos-Duterte tandem prefer to conduct their campaign sorties in various parts of the country to deliver their message of unity and present their programs of government directly to the people.
For her part, Duterte thanked the support and warm welcome she received from Baliuag Mayor Ferdinand Viceo Estrella, San Miguel Mayor Roderick Tiongson, Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque, San Ildefonso Mayor Carla Galvez-Tan, Bustos Mayor Francis Albert Juan, and Plaridel Mayor
Anastasia Vistan, as well as from San Rafael Board Member Cholo Violago, a mayoral bet.
Her Sara para sa Barangay event was held at the Waterwood basketball covered court, Waterwood Park Subdivision, DRT Highway, and Barangay
Pagala, Baliuag, Bulacan.
Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez, the Lakas-CMD president, accompanied the Davao City mayor.
Duterte met with the Dumagats of Bulacan, particularly in Barangay Kalawakan, Doña Remedios Trinidad town.
Tiongson told his constituents that he feels elated whenever he sees “The Eagle of Mindanao” Inday Sara.
He said all 49 barangays in San Miguel town would back Duterte’s vice presidential bid.
When he asked the crowd if they could produce 100,000 votes for Inday Sara, the people answered “yes”.
At the San Miguel event, Duterte was joined by UniTeam senatorial candidate Herbert Bautista, Robin Padilla, and former San Juan City vice mayor Janella Estrada, representing her father, UniTeam senatorial candidate Jinggoy Estrada.
