Multimedia media star Nadine Lustre is making everyone’s head turn in Vivamax’s suspense thriller co-starring Diego Loyzaga and directed by Yam Laranas.
Greed, which premiered on March 16 on Vivamax Plus, and on April 8 on Vivamax, revolves around “everyone’s desire to secure a better future and a life free from the worries of tomorrow.”
“These are some of the things that most of us work hard for our whole lives. We sacrifice and bet everything for it, we stay hungry, motivated, and sometimes, if necessary, we tend to have a need for greed,” Nadine, whose last screen outing was in the movie Indak (2019), said of the project.
Set in a remote village, a young couple finally has the chance to free themselves from the hardships of life and start anew as they win the biggest prize in the lottery. Not wanting anyone to know about this great news, the couple decides to keep it a secret until they have moved to a different town. But a former neighbor learns about their dumb luck and tries to steal it from them. What follows after is a nightmare of a hunt fueled by dark intentions and selfishness.
“You’re going to see a different Nadine in this film and it’s far removed from the previous films I’ve done. I’m really happy because that’s what I really wanted, to be able to always share something new with my audience,” Nadine shared in response to Viva’s description of the movie saying it’s dark, eerie, and shocking.
Greed is Nadine’s first film since she attempted to terminate her contract with Viva in 2020. The move sparked a legal dispute, which was already resolved late last year, with Nadine honoring her contractual obligations while still retaining her rights over her “branding and image” until her contract expires in 2029.
