UniTeam senatorial candidate Herbert “Bistek” Bautista on Monday thanked Filipinos for the support they gave him that pushed him to the so-called Senate Magic 12.
“The trust you gave me is priceless,” said Bautista, a former three-term mayor of Quezon City.
“You can be sure that not only will I return the favor but exceed expectations as a senator,” he added.
Bautista asked his supporters to sustain their efforts to keep him in the winning circle until the May 9 elections.
Results of the latest Pulse Asia survey showed Bautista breaking into the winning circle with a 12 to 14 ranking, with 32.8 percent of the respondents saying they would vote for him.
His awareness rating was at 94 percent.
Bautista is running under the ticket of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his running mate, Sara Duterte-Carpio, on a platform of Internet reforms, Livelihood for all and Youth development, or ILY.
“To everyone who believes in me, I express thanks from the bottom of my heart,” said Bautista.
“But the journey is just beginning. I appeal for your continued support until election day and beyond,” he added.
