Metro Pacific Investments Foundation Inc. (MPIF), the corporate social responsibility arm of infrastructure conglomerate Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), recently partnered with organizers of the 1st Philippine Cycling Festival, to strengthen its Puhunang Pangkabuhayan program for alternative livelihood.
The partnership includes MPIF, Neo Zigma Cycle Corporation, and Interval Gear Events Management (IGEM).
“Through our Puhunang Pangkabuhayan program, we aim to invest in small businesses and kickstart local economies—a feat that we will continue to achieve through this partnership with IGEM and Neo Zigma,” explained MPIF president Melody del Rosario.
Puhunang Pangkabuhayan provided over 110 alternative livelihood tools such as bicycles, sewing & edging machines, pocket Wi-Fi units, and load retailer kits to areas in Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Surigao del Norte, and Pangasinan.
Neo Zigma, the exclusive distributor of SHIMANO in the Philippines and sports event organizing company IGEM are organizing the 1st Philippine Cycling Festival and Adventure Expo to be held on June 3-5 at the Clark Parade Grounds.
