This development comes after ONE’s adaptation of the popular business reality television show won Best Non-Scripted Entertainment and Best Adaptation of an Existing Format at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021 (AAA).

After a successful run in Asia, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong is excited to finally showcase the ‘toughest Apprentice yet’ to the world.

“The first season of the ‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ was a smashing success. After a fantastic reception in Asia, it’s time for the rest of the world to experience the toughest and most unique version of ‘The Apprentice’ in history,” Sityodtong said.

“On behalf of ONE Championship, I am truly honored for all the support we have received for the show, and I’m excited to premiere the series to a broader audience.”

The show pits 16 candidates from various parts of the globe with diverse corporate backgrounds. At stake is a US$250,000 job offer to work as Sityodtong’s direct subordinate at the ONE global office in Singapore.

Some of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts like Rich Franklin, Renzo Gracie, and Georges St. Pierre graced the show to facilitate various physical challenges.

Current ONE stars like Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, and ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan also appeared in the show, among others.

The hit series launched in Asia earlier this year, and its premiere episode garnered an estimated four million viewers. It became the most-watched 2021 season premiere of an all English-language reality TV series in Asia.

That episode’s broadcast reach is better than other reality competition premieres, including “America’s Got Talent” Season 20, “MasterChef Singapore” Season 2, “The Voice” Season 20, and “The Masked Singer” Season 5.

Its run in Asia also garnered 30 million cumulative viewers for an average reach of 3.5 million per episode.
