Talented, well-loved, and passionate. These are just few of the words to describe young actress Bianca Umali in doing what she does best: acting.
For almost a decade, Filipino viewers have witnessed Bianca grow in her craft with every character she excellently portrayed in various Kapuso programs. Her remarkable performance in her last project Sahaya where she played the titular character of the strong-willed Badjao girl received rave reviews from viewers.
Bianca is deeply grateful to all her supporters and for the network’s trust on her talent, “Thank you sa lahat-lahat po ng mga tao. And of course, sa aking mga boss, sa aking network, and to our management for their love and trust. It’s my great pleasure to be a Kapuso. Hindi ko naman hiningi lahat, pero binibiyayaan po ako and binibigay po sa akin ang mga pagkakataon.”
Currently, she is gearing up for a lead role in the international scene through HBO Asia’s Halfworlds.
The 19-year-old star once again renewed her ties with GMA Network. Last week, Dec. 11, GMA executives Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Felipe S. Yalong, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Jose Mari Abacan, and Darling de Jesus-Bodegon were all present to witness Bianca’s contract signing.
Other executives present were Angela Javier Cruz, Oliver Amoroso, Gigi Santiago-Lara, Bang Arespacochaga, Simoun Ferrer, and Tracy Garcia.
Atty. Gozon shared how impressed he is with Bianca’s acting feats, “Bianca is a homegrown talent. Ito ang nagpapatunay na itong ating mga homegrown na artista, hindi lamang kinikilala rin sa ating bansa kundi hanggang abroad. Hindi balewala ‘yang HBO. Talagang mahusay pumili yan kaya tayo’y hindi nagkakamali sa ating mga pinipiling artista.”
Meanwhile, Gozon-Valdes praises the actress’ career growth, “We’re very, very excited for that and I think she really deserves it. She started with us nine years ago and we’ve seen her blossom into the beautiful girl that she is today. I think she’s one of the most talented actresses that we have and of course, one of the most beautiful.”
Rasonable, in turn, excitedly revealed another big project for Bianca in the coming year, “She is one of the stars of a new primetime soap in 2020. Bagay na bagay siya, another game-changer with a very exciting powerhouse cast.”
