Radisson sparkles in Vietnam

Radisson sparkles in VietnamThe Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has certainly made its presence felt here in the country. There is the Radisson Blu in Cebu, the Park Inn by Radisson in Davao, in North Edsa, in Clark, in Iloilo and, soon, in Bacolod. All these beautiful hotels are owned by SM Hotels and Conventions.

After captivating locals and our international visitors with a taste of its enviable brand of hospitality and service, RHG has now set its sights on Vietnam’s exciting emerging tourist destinations.

The Radisson Blu Resort will open in Quy Nhon, which is nestled on Vietnam’s pristine south-central coast, between the cities of Nha Trang and Hoi An. Slated to open in 2023, the resort will offer a choice of 120 contemporary rooms and suites in the main building, and 160 villas surrounded by lush landscaped gardens. This property will feature leisure facilities, restaurants, bars, and function areas.

Quy Nhon is home to many natural and cultural attractions, including ancient temples, traditional fishing villages, idyllic islands, and picturesque pagodas. In the second quarter of next year, Radisson Hotel Da Nang will open, introducing the brand to the largest city on Vietnam’s central coast. This landmark hotel is currently under construction in the city’s central district, overlooking the sea. It will have 182 rooms and suites—most with ocean views—a restaurant, lounge, spa, fitness center, swimming pool with pool bar, and modern meeting spaces.

With its long sandy seafront, cultural attractions, and extensive leisure facilities, including golf courses, Da Nang is a key tourist destination. The airport is only 10 minutes away from the hotel and is directly connected to major Asian cities like Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Seoul, and Singapore.

In the first quarter of 2021, Radisson Hotel Quang Binh will open on the charming seafront city of Dong Hoi. This elegant colonial style building is being completely renovated to Radisson’s international brand standards. Upon opening, this downtown hotel will feature a restaurant, lobby lounge, swimming pool, fitness center, ballroom, and meeting spaces.

Dong Hoi is located on Vietnam’s north-central coast, north of Da Nang. Tourists will marvel at the area’s beautiful beaches and can proceed to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, which is home to the world’s largest cave. The city’s airport offers regular flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, with plans for regular flights to international destinations.

Katerina Giannouka, president for Asia Pacific of Radisson Hotel Group explains the brand’s proliferation in Vietnam: “The country is one of the world’s most attractive, with a strong economic growth, a vibrant culture, and spectacular scenery. Da Nang has emerged as an important regional hub for business and leisure while Quy Nhon and Dong Hoi are prime locations ready for international tourism.”

Vietnam’s tourism industry is currently on an upswing. It had 14.5 million international visitors in the first 10 months of this year, a 13 percent increase over last year’s figures. It is certainly on the way to another record year. Rising affluence and improving infrastructure are also driving domestic tourism growth, further highlighting the need for suitable accommodations.

In fact, there are now approximately 30,000 rooms under construction throughout the country, which represents 28 percent of its existing inventory.

These three soon-to-open Radisson properties in Vietnam will be in addition to the brand’s existing hotels Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh, and Hoi An.

It looks like Vietnam will soon be Radisson territory. Just as well that we’ve passed on the Southeast Asian Games flag to them! These new rooms will come in very handy.
