The Peninsula Manila ushers in the holiday season with its annual “Christmas Concert at The Pen” featuring music from well-loved movies.
Happening on Dec. 8, the holiday concert headlines “Asia’s Golden Girl” Gerphil Flores, Spanish tenor Miguel Lobato, the UST Singers, and violinist Coke Bolipata, with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Ruggero Barbieri. The concert is directed by Freddie Santos.
The “Christmas Concert at The Pen” is a heritage production of The Peninsula Manila along with partners SSI Group Inc., Philippine Tatler, and Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in cooperation with co-sponsors the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Lexus Philippines.
The concert doubles as a fundraiser for the Hope for the Philippines advocacy of the hotel that benefits the educational and livelihood projects of families living in The Peninsula – Gawad Kalinga (GK) Village in Tanauan, Leyte.
“Part of our holiday musical repertoire this year includes music from The Godfather, Evita, Ben Hur, the James Bond series, Wizard of Oz, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and many others played live by the PPO,” said The Peninsula Manila general manager Masahisa Oba.
Ticket is priced at P2,300 per person (with a set festive merienda) or P32,000 for a table of 10 (with a set festive merienda menu and two bottles of Moët & Chandon Champagne).
