Longtime sports patron Jean Henri Lhuillier has high expectations for the team sports and the individual athletes that Cebuana Lhuillier has been supporting the past years including soft ball and tennis.
“I’m confident that both our Blu Girls and Blu Boys will continue their dominance in the SEA Games. They have prepared hard for this and we have given them all the support that they need to retain the gold medals,” said Lhuillier, President of Cebuana Lhuillier and Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines.
In tennis, Lhuillier also expressed confidence that his Cebuana Lhuillier Sports Ambassadors Treat Huey, Ruben Gonzales and Nino Alcantara will deliver medals in the ongoing SEAG.
“I like their chances in the doubles events as they have been campaigning all year long in the ATP and ITF tennis circuit. I believe they have what it takes to win some gold medals,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, also the President of Unified Tennis Philippines.
Huey said he was confident about his and his team’s chances to win gold medals.
“We have prepared long and hard for this opportunity to compete in front of our countrymen and I would like to thank JHL for his continued support for tennis,” said Huey.
Lhuillier also singled out swimmer Jasmine Alkhaldi, saying he is confident that this time, “she will win the gold medals that have eluded her in past SEA games.”
“I’m raring to go! I’ve been training like crazy the past year for this SEAG. I want to show our countrymen we have what it takes to excel in the sport of swimming. Thanks to Sir Jean Henri Lhuillier and Cebuana Lhuillier for the support they have extended to me the past year,” said Alkhaldi.
