The Capas town entry for 2019 features the Holy Family in the Belenismo, a yearly display of colorful dioramas portraying the biblical story on the birth of the Christians’ Redeemer, after his parents Mary and Joseph were turned away by an innkeeper in Bethlehem. Passersby raise their eyes to the high-tech giant 8.5-meter tall angel, made of old X-ray films discarded by Ospital ng Capas, with cattle bones used to form the angel’s wings for the tourist-drawing Belenismo organized by the Tarlac Heritage Foundation.
