To ensure the safety, efficiency, roadworthiness and environmental compliance of vehicles on the road, Department of Transportation, through the Land Transportation Office, will implement the mandatory automated inspection of all private light vehicles and motorcycles next year.
As a leading global innovator of vehicle inspection solutions utilizing Chinese and German state-of-the-art technologies, Cosber-China expressed its support of the Philippine government’s vehicle inspection program.
The company is China’s largest exporter of vehicle inspection equipment, supplying to more than 30 countries worldwide.
Distributed in the Philippines by Platinum Legacy Vortex Corp., a premier supplier and maintenance provider of vehicle inspection testing equipment used for Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Centers, Cosber has an outstanding line of testing equipment that ensures the safety and roadworthiness of key components of vehicles including the brakes, smoke emission, speedometer, and headlights.
“We laud the Philippine government for mandating this vehicle inspection testing because vehicle roadworthiness leads to public road safety. The less problematic vehicles we have on the road means less traffic, less headache for motorists and public safety for all,” emphasizes Ken Wang, director for International Sales of Cosber-China.
Cosber equipment employs top-of-the-line German and Chinese innovation that is interfaced and integrated into information technology systems which are then uploaded to the government database for verification and auditing. The pass or fail results are automated and don’t require any human intervention.
In the recent mandate, private vehicles shall be required to undergo inspection testing before their registration is renewed and they will only be allowed to ply the roads as long as they pass the automated inspection.
As the inspection test becomes mandatory, Cosber also looks forward to providing car service centers with inspection systems in their workshops and service bays in the future.
Cosber, through its local distributor PLV, is also active in after-sales service as they are also engaged in the equipment maintenance including repair or replacement of parts, as well as information technology support, to ensure the continuous and smooth operation of every vehicle inspection center.
“As a manufacturer, Cosber intends to address one of the major challenges of today’s urban societies— road safety and environmental protection. We hope that through our technology, we can support the Philippine government’s MVIS program and help improve the safety of Philippine roads,” Wang said.
