A low pressure area off the country’s Pacific coast is brewing to develop into a tropical depression in the next 12 to 24 hours.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA is expected to hit Luzon or the Visayas.

As of 4 p.m. yesterday, it was spotted at 1,025 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
Once it becomes a tropical depression—the 18th this year—it would be named “Ramon.”
